What a wonderful thing it is to be sisters.  To know one another enough that just looking at each other sends you both into fits of giggles.  To be so much the same, but so very different all at once.  To watch each other grow up, change, explore.  To have someone to be your very best friend and biggest annoyance at the same time.  I got to see all of this and so much more one afternoon last week with this lovely family and their gorgeous little girls.  Photographing these two darling sisters as they giggled their way through what seemed like every leaf pile in the park was such a treat.  I loved capturing a bit of their connection with each other.  They just love to be around one another – hugging each other, pestering each other, smearing ice cream on each other.  They do it all together.  And throwing their awesome parents into the mix just added to the fun.  Beautiful and talented mom, Brittany, had these girls dressed to the nines with adorable headbands and tutus from her shop Little Miss Rich’s (go visit and buy some adorable stuff)!  But don’t let that fool you.  Big sister Avery is super girly with a splash of adventurous tomboy, actually exclaiming at one point, “Let’s go adventuring in the leaves!” while dashing off ahead of little Lainey.  Lainey is a bit more cautious than her big sister, perhaps taking after handsome dad, Kyle.  Such a little snuggler, Lainey and I had a lot of fun as she sat on my lap and helped take pictures of her sister.  A little sugar from the local ice cream shop gave everyone the boost they needed as the sun began to set on our lovely afternoon together.  Thank you so much for bringing me on your “adventure in the leaves,” you guys.  I had such a wonderful time.  xo
